Why Yoga and Wellbeing?

Wellbeing has been defined most simply as “the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy” Complementary therapies can be used alongside more traditional healthcare interventions to aid in the prevention and management of a wide range of ailments or to promote a general sense of wellbeing. Complementary therapies might include Reiki, massage, breath work, guided meditation or deep relaxation, crystal work and aromatherapy. Reported benefits from these include improvements in pain and stress management, better sleep patterns,  increased energy levels, a reduction in muscle tension and headaches, an improvement in circulation and a general increase in the overall feeling of wellbeing. Trained therapists will undertake a consultation (and patch sensitivity tests if necessary) before treatment.
